My name is Stefanie and I’m passionate about planning, organising, decluttering and working towards a minimalistic lifestyle, paired with mindful consumption and waste minimisation.
Thinking back, I have always made plans and organised stuff.... whether it was a holiday, project, my migration to Australia from Germany or my next training course – I was never happier than when I had at least one excel spreadsheet with a schedule and task list open. I positively thrived when life became more complex with family, house, garden, pets and my own business.
I began my career working as a Project Management Professional in the manufacturing industry and in local government for over 15 years with eight of those years in the recycling and waste industry, which is where my passion for waste minimisation comes from.
In fact, it was whilst attending a conference for waste educators that I came across Professional Organising as a career choice. I loved the idea of helping others get organised and freeing them up to find time for themselves in our ever-busy world. I quickly discovered that the principles are similar – whether I’m working on a large manufacturing project or on a wardrobe declutter. The professional organising has an added benefit though, you get to help people change their lives for the better.
And that’s how The Organising Project began. I started my own business working as a professional organiser and declutter coach. I became a member of IOPO International (Institute of Professional Organisers) (www.iopo.com.au) and am trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
My business is all about turning chaos into calm and helping my clients rediscover not just their home or office – but themselves in the process. I am proud to have the skillset and experience to assist my clients with organising and decluttering of any kind – from serious chronic disorganisation challenges and hoarding, to moving house or downsizing, to decluttering your spare room or structuring your day, to setting up or organising your home office.
This work is personal and sometimes deeply emotional. I feel privileged to join you on your own journey of decluttering and organising and pledge my respect and trustworthiness to you and your family, as we embark on this exciting work together.
I’m here to help you.
Stefanie
